Your hosts Joe and Terri Coady have over 35 years of experience training springer spaniels and competing them at the National and International level.

We are amateur trainers but are very proud of our top notch training facilities for  all breeds of upland game hunting including flushing dogs, pointers and retrievers. We love to share our training facilities with you during your stay at the lodge.

Depending upon the time of the year and season we can provide outstanding cover whether big open fields (North and South Fields), along creek beds (Netley Creek) or in wooded forested valleys (Quail Ridge) where we have opened paths for you to run and train your dogs.

We have two pigeon homing flocks on our property and generally very good access to pigeons as training birds / homers as required during the training season.

We hatch and raise our own quail and chukar birds (several hundred a year) and have unlimited access to pheasant from the local IGOR Pheasantry in Lockport, MB (40 minutes away).

Guests are not allowed to shoot any birds during our training sessions but we find that access to good flyers and a diversity of upland birds an excellent benefit to help you train and steady your hunting dogs.
